THE NORWOOD INSTITUTE.
The Norwood Institute with W. N. Norwood, proprietor.
This "humanitarian" institution founded on superstition,
fraud and ignorance, for one has but to visit this dirty filthy
place, to recognize the menace to the poor unfortunate sick,
and the community at large. This fake institute is incor-
porated under the laws of our country. It is something de-
plorable that conditions exist as they do in our law-making
bodies. Bill after bill will be introduced looking to the
better raising of better hogs and better horses, but when a
bill is introduced looking to the betterment of the human
race, we have every two-bit, long-haired lawyer and fake
doctor in the land to oppose us.
A man will be very careful to select fine blood for his
stock, and at the same time, permit some perverted blood
contaminated syphilitic dude, who parts his hair in the mid-
dle, who may be able to converse fluently on the latest move-
ment of the tango, or the names of all the chorus girls in
town, who never earned an honest penny in his life, marry
his pure sweet daughter, and afterwards spend half his hard
earned wealth, trying to keep the damnable, hallucinated,
pollywadle out of the penitentiary.
And as long as we select these egotistic, long-haired yaps,
calling themselves attorneys, as our representatives in the
legislature, we will continue to have such institutes of fraud
as this dirty disgraceful place. This old reprobate has in-
vented a wonderful "cure" for tuberculosis, and has the
audacity to write to the National and State government,
asking them to come and make a test of his wonderful dis-
covery. He has also written letters to the State Medical
Association, and our local Society, asking them to come and
pertake of the smoke of life, freely. His discovery is in the
form of an inhaling gas or smoke from ordinary oak wood.19
