Thousands of War Workers Trained Free at S.M.U.
Since 1940 Southern Methodist University has given free specialized
training to approximately 20,000 men and women. Day and night classes
carried on a 24-hour basis have been organized to give these workers the
skills necessary for them to work in vital war industries. This entire pro-
gram, although subsidized by the government, is on a nonprofit basis. It is
a service that Southern Methodist University is privileged to make to the
war effort.
A full schedule of courses available in all departments of the Univer-
sity . . . The College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School, and
Schools of Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Music, Theology,
and Dallas College.
