Dallas is the key to the great Southwestern market. It is
the strategic location for manufacturers and distributors to
serve this market. (Evidence of this fact is found in the
number of national concerns with Southwestern headquar-
ters in Dallas-more than in all other cities of the region
combined-and in the growth of Dallas institutions.)
Dallas is truly the city of opportunity, in the heart of
a great empire which has eyes on the future rather than the
past. The Southwest is America's one major region which
is not overdeveloped-with a wealth of natural resources
just beginning to be developed-with the land and the natu-
ral wealth capable of sustaining millions of additional popu-
lation.
