Southwestern Historical Quarterly

Resolution
WHEREAS, The Texas State Historical Association looks
upon its faithful and interested members as one of the major
resources of Texas; and
WHEREAS, During the Association's seventy-second year
it lost four of those devoted members; now therefore be it
Resolved, That the Association, at its seventy-third an-
nual meeting should pause to pay tribute to the memories
of Earl W. Fornell and Andrew Forest Muir, authors, schol-
ars, and Fellows of the Association; to the memory of Mrs.
Starkey Duncan, who has been for nearly half a century
among the most faithful members of the Association; and
to the memory of Pat H. Candler, distinguished Dallas jurist
and lay historian. The Association feels deeply the loss of
these associates.
