Dr. William Wright Barnes, an
outstanding preacher, teacher and
historian, died at Southwestern Bap-
tist Theological Seminary in Fort
Worth on April 6, 1960. Dr. Barnes
received an Honorary Doctor of Let-
ters degree from H-SU in 1952.
Mrs. J. S. Walker (nee Mary Alice
Bagley, ex '46) died May 11, 1960.
Among her survivors are W. H. Bag-
ley, BBA '55, of Abilene and Gene
Bagley, BA '54, of Breckenridge.

Wesley, Jr., BA '50, of Roswell, and
Dee Wellborn, BBA '53 of Fort
Worth. He was the brother of Manly,

Mrs. Walter Henderson (nee Omie
Lois Morgan, ex '10) of May, Texas.
Mrs. Joe Leonard Bryant, mother
of Milton Bryant, BA '37, ME '50, of
Abilene, passed away in May, 1960.
Mrs. H. H. Keck, mother of Miss
Lucy Keck, ex '30, of Seymour.
Mrs. L. A. Ogle, mother of Roy
Skaggs, BA '28, and grandmother of
William Roy Skaggs, Jr., BBA '59,
and Mrs. Don Cook (nee Lannie
Skaggs, ex '58).
Miss Lucy P. Morris, ex '96, of
Ovalo. sister of Mrs. J. D. Sheffield(nee Alma Morris, ex '02), of Lo-
raine.
Mrs. Marilyn Rogers and her eight
months old daughter drowned when
their car plunged into a creek near
Texarkana. She was the sister of
Mrs. John D. Kuykendall (nee Carol
Blankenship, BA '53) of Texarkana.
Robert N. Cluck, ME '43, superin-
tendent of the Cisco Schools for 16
years and first president of Cisco
Junior College, died of a heart at-
tack on April 25, 1960.
Mrs. Tom E. Crabb, mother of
Mrs. Ernest G r issom (nee Pearl
Bunkley, ex '15), of Abilene.
James E. Frost, father of James
E., Jr., BA '47, of Fresno, Calif.
Mrs. Fanny V. Moore, ex '12, the
mother of Slim Willet, (Winston L.
Moore, BA '49), Abilene Radio Per-
former and musician, Omar F., BA
'49, and Mrs. William O. Gayle (nee
Melba Moore, ex '47), all of Abilene,
died May, 1960.
George P. Smith, a custodian at
H-SU, died on June 24, 1960.
Ellis Iden, father of Mrs. Patricia
Hall (nee Patricia Iden, BBA '60),
died on July 10, 1960. His home was
north of Big Spring.
Mrs. J. L. Grissom of Levelland,
mother of Leroy Grissom, BA '35,
of Amarillo, and Marvin, ex '35, of
Sherman, and grandmother of Mrs.
T. D. Johnson (nee Fay Grissom,
ex '55), of Lubbock, died on July 16.
