The Committee received propositions from Wm [abbr: William] Batsell for Batsell Park and from Mr . J. P. Harrison for College Park, and the Committee were escorted to College Park by the management, and after returning, agreed to postpone [gap: illegible] on grounds until Saturday the 11th at 3 o'clock on account of the absence of some of the Committee.

July 11th 3 p.m.
The Committee met. Present E Rudasill, J Horace Lea, Dr [abbr: Doctor] R S Bullock, J. P. Loving, and Hiram N Tuck and Maj [abbr: major] Wm [abbr: William] Sevy were represented by proxy. after some discussion by members of the Committee and interested spectators, who were granted the privilege of speaking to the question.
The vote was then taken and resulted as follows.
