THE OLD SETTLERS.

The joint committee of the ex-Confederate Missourians and Old Sttlers organizations met at Sherman June 17th. Quorum present.
Major Wm. Levy was selected to deliver the address of welcome to the organizations at 9:60 a. m., Aug. 10th.
Response on part of ex-Confederates by Col. John T. Crisp, of Missouri.
Response on the part of the Old Settlers, by ex-Governor J. W. Throckmorton.
Afternoon on the 10th occupied by ex-Confederates.
The following [distingui,hed] gentlemen are expected to be present and will speak during the evening and at night.
Gen. Vincent Marmaduke, Hon. Geo. Vest, Hon. Waldo P. Johnson, ex-Gov. Reynolds, Col. Frank T. Mitchell, Gen. S. M. Servis, Hon. Frank M. Cockrell, Col. John T. Coffey, Gen. S. S. Jackman, Col. Sam Slayback, Col. Bob McCulloch, col. D. E. Williams, Col. John M. Stemmons, Capt. E. B. Richardsons.
Col. D. E. Williams was selected to make arrangements with the different lines of railroads for reduced fare for ex-Confederates and Old Settlers.
August 11th devoted to Old Settlers exclusively.
Speech by Hon. F. E. Piner, of Denton, at 10 a. m.
Speech by Gen. John J. Good, of Dallas, at 11 a. m.

AFTERNOON.

Speech by Col. Robert H. Taylor of Fannin, at 2 p. m.
Speech by Judge silas Hare, of Sherman, at 3 p.m.
Speech by Col. W. B. Wright, of Dallas, at 4 p. m.

AFTER SUPPER.

Speech by Judge James M. Hurt, of Dallas.
Speech by Elder John Connelly, of Whiteright.
The secretary was requested to notify the speakers.
Adjourned to meet July 24th, at which time all committees are requested to be promptly on hand with full report of their action, and all Finance committees are expected to have their contributions collected and pay same over to the secretary and treasurer of joint committee.
All papers friendly to the Association please copy.
