Jetter was repeatedly cheered during his speech
we were sorry when the time was up as it was
a great treat to listen to the eloquent re(?)
that was so well delivered by Jetter. The president
announced the picnic would adjourn until
early candleight. The following named persons
are camped on the ground and sum to enjoy the
occasion highly, Ed Sacra Sr., Collins B. F. De(?)
M.B.Brown, S/ Despein, A. Elly, J.P. Loving, W.ro(?)
A.J. Cook, E.J. C. Thompson, P.W. David, Benn Christine,
H.H. Harris, Capt. H. See, and (bltlis) many more
will come in and camp.

Second Day 18th
At an early hour yesterday morning the people of
the country began pouring in from every direction
and in every conceivable manner. At 9 o'clockm the
16th regiment of Texas dismounted and the 11th Texas
cavalry met in the court house and called order
and the roll was called and the minutes of the
last meeting read and approved. At 9 and 1/2 o'clock
the two regiments headed by the Sherman cornet band
marched in the Denison carried the ball (le) scarred regi-
mental flag of the gallant old 11th. On arriving
at the ground Mr. Holford was conducted to the
stand by Mr. W.W. Wheat and Mr. H in a few short sen-
tences told how he had taken that flag from its
staff at the end of the war and carried it carefully
home and that he had ever cherished it as his most valued
positions and a momento of the past of what they
once were and what that flag had been through. The
old battled scarred soldiers greeted it with much
enthusiasm three times three cheers and a bigger
being given by these boys who were the gray
Judge Hare then took the stand and in his usual
happy manner, held the attention of the crowd.
Hare's ability as an orator is two well known to need
a (fanegyric) from us. Hon L.L. Parker on a very original and
striking manner introduced Col. G.R. Reeves commented
