Just call ine peeping Tom Dick
or Harry. Just any old name S.im
Bill Bob or just plain Kilroy. You
can choose as you like hut still I'm
always there with my little set of
ladders that hae special devices for
reaching and peering into any room
or window around this campus. I'm
really slick when it comes to peeping
around in and about trying to find
each little extra bit of dirt or gossip
that will smear or niarr anlxdy
gixxl name or reputation.
Now like the other night I was
out with one of my specially devised
ladders equipped especially for the
girls' dorm. I was just merely stroll-
ing across the campus when that
peeping urge seised me. Of course I
didn't resist in the least and do you
realise what I saw: You could never
imagine. Jo Rutherford it seems was
talking to her roomie Hetty Janet. Bettv
had been seen in the company of Bull
Dosier (hut more recently lie was
cauidit accotnpanvini! ex-flame Civic
around) and they had the silly idea
that Bull was more or less using Betty
to make Gayle jealous. Now could
you imagine Bull acting that childish?
Certainly not!
Then there's another couple that
I felt it necessary to peek in on. That's
the recent romance of Glen Whitis
and Bobbie Morrow. Could Glen lie
Wrong? At least he acted in a very
elementary manner. Poor Bobbie heart
broken or is it poor Glen?
The best of all is that of Franklin.
One night dating Nina Barbee the
next with Jody and then he refused
to double date with "Hudsy" because
"Huds" was with Nina. "I want to
shoot them both the same line" I night down in the middle of town-
heard Jimmy say. My Franklin can't holding hands. Now J. E. you know
ou do that with lxith of them around? how Doris likes cowboys. Better watch
By the way "Huds" are you trying out!
to monopolise Nina? I heard you tried pltsy and Doyle seem to be hit-
to liook her up solid for the next tjni jt ff just fine. You know they're
month. Diin't do it Carlos give some saying "The sunshine comes after
other fellow a chance! I the rain" and I'm glad that at last
I reallv have gxd eyes but here's the sunshine has come. It does my
one thing that no one could have old peeping eyes gocxl to see some-
missed. Little Miss Betty Wilson has one happy
snagged one in the form of a fresh-1 J amost fcl ut of that tree the

all remeiulier Betty she's one of the
girls that the late Jimmy Mitchell
esq. passed that ring among. Good
luck this time Betty!
It seems that a cute little chick
by the name of Paula Gee has been
seeing quite a bit of a freshman foot-
ball player Billy Fred Jay. My Paula
you can't do that . . . not all the
time anyway. But yet maybe so meone
else can beat him to that window in
the chow hall. Would it do any
gootl.
1 stood out on the campus the other
night and looked up into Bob Lath-
am's room where he and Leon Adud-
dell were discussing their dates with
Wanda Orrick and Jo Rutherford.
My boys that must have been an
interesting conversation. Was it? Sup-
pose you tell the girls what was said.
Bob Jones as 1 see it must lie
mighty blue since Miss Head left
for Denton. Bob are you really lone-
some? May lie Elouise could cure your
headache. Think so?
J. E. doesn't seem to be grieving
too much oer the absence of Little
Cass. Betty's best friend Doris Muel-
ler was seen with J. E. the other

I'e been trying to peer in on a
certain freshman girl from Robstown
by the name of Wilson. In case you
don t know her lieverlv is ner lug
sister. Let's hope that she has a bet-
ter line than her family forerunner.
Think so?
Poor ol' "Gabby" Conklin I've seen
him standing around in the chow hall
mooning around looking wall cvccl
sick lexiking anil half strangled at
those cute waitresses. Maybe one of
these days one of them will break
down and be hrae and go with oit
"Gmk."
I've seen Mark Davis our mighty
cheer leader (with the new click
click of his fingers before yells) and
I've just been wondering what ever
happened to that budding romance
that looked like it was about to blos-
som last spring. Did the summer
drought burn it up Mark?
I lere's a new one and it's red hot.
None other than Slime Lamb stepping
out with that honorable uppcrclass
woman Doris (head of the Bible de-
partmen) I Iarper. Perhaps Lamb
should be told what he's getting into.
Oh well live and learn they say. We
hope you learn without too much dif
ficulty.
And Rusty Nail as I focus m
peepers on her and think of that lover
boy in Alabama I ask myself "I las
it happened at last? I las she really
and truly fallen in love this time?"
We hope so but still I'll have to offer
my deep heart-felt sympathy to poor
Burtis as he sits idly by. Cheer up
Burtis! Maybe you'll find another
somewhere someday. Let's hope so
anyway.
As I look into the room where the
"lover bov" Glen Whitis lives with
transfer James Clay I just wonder
where Clay is keeping his talents ol
making these girls swoon. Tell us
Clay.
Leo Lacey Jr. seems to be doing
ill right for himself as he leaves that
little high school girl and starts back
in with these "dump" people. My

let's slow down.
It has been rumored hat Mildred
White is still carrying a torch for
that red headed freshman (high
school sweetheart) from Navosota. My
Robin can't you wise up and see that
flame glowing in her eyes or is that
just plain fire?
I guess I'll have to cut this short
now people this old hospital bed is
ccttinc a bit tiresome and I can't
strain myself too much. You want to
know why I'm here? I can't say but
the next time I star peeking I'm go-
ing to tie myself to the top of the
ladder. The last window I peeped in
gave me such a shock that it just
knocked me off the top but since
we have so many young and innocent
freshmen among our readers I'll not
go into it. It's too terrible for their
young minds.
Now listen? If you want me to hac
a relapse as soon as I get out of here
just tell (that is if you know) who
wrote this. I'll land right back in
bed-probably with a broken back
or neck. Well so long for now. I'll
have more dirt for you ne.vt week!

Greetings popular music lovers! Your
record reporter is back with the latest
disc poop straight from the record
to ou.
The first records this week are by
the "nation's most talked about dance
hand leader" Vaughn Monroe. The
man with the muscular vocal chorus
has two line sides cut "Everyday
1 Love You" and "Cool Water." The
latter is made with the Sons of the
Pioneers and is a fine recording of
the western favorite.
Still another Monroe record is avai-
lable in the novelty field with Ziggy
Talent on the vocal of the "Maharajah
of Magador." Ziggy's vocal is typical
scat style with a little whisky tenor
thrown in for good measure.
Nellie Lutcher also has some very
good current releases done up in
typical Lutcher stjle. "Cool Water"
backed with "Like Charles Boogie
is one of her hits in a long line of
fine recordings. Another oldie dressed
in the inimitable Lutcher style is
"Alexander's Ragtime Band."
Others records in the
field are:
1. "Begin the Beguin" Stan Kenton
2. "Interlude" Stan Kenton (Both
a la progressive j.uz style)
3. 'Big Pat Mama"-Rov Milton
4. "St. Louis Blues March" Tex
Beneke
5. "Little White
I lavmes
Amont the favorite
there is Eddy Arnold's "Just a Little
Love" and "Just Because." Or if
you really feel sad try a little "Wieck
On the Highway" by Roy Acuff or
"Cigarettes and Whusky and Wild
Wild Wimmin' " by the Sons of
the Pioneers.
Well cats and characters see you
next week. Till then keep 'em spinning!

her grammar school days were Bangs

to keep in school king enough to
finish by moving on!) one time from
Reagan to Houston. In Reagan she-
was an officer in the Reagan Redcoats

surer of her class and an offucr in
the National Olhcers' Society.
In her college days the rambhn'
fever once more set in on Zacliie and
she moved from Southwestern Lliuver
sity to the University of Houston
and then came to a really good school

Howard Pavne as a junior trans-
fer she took much punishment but
had more fun than many of her up

Don't lieheve a word she tells you if
there is a certain little green impish
look in her eve. I his look is hard to
deteit. however because she is very
clever at hiding it. Sometimes very
rarclv though one of her jokes will

when she and Bill I lamrick told one

school on the G. I. Bill of Rights be-

the vvoiil spread and people are still
innocently asking her to tell them of
