Two Hundred Fifty-Four
Students on Merit List
For Mid-Semester
Three freshmen and one junior
topped Abilene Christian college's
mid-semester honor roll issued Wed-
nesday morning with a grade of at
least 00 in six subjects and twelve
other students followed close be-
hind with a grade of 00 or more in
five courses.
Floyd Dunn with four business
administration classes Pauline Witt
with three music couscs Mary Glenn
Huggs with two business adminis-
tration courses and Dorothy Jean
Glover with a varied schedule car-
ried away honors.
Two hundred fifty-four made the
merit list in all. Of the four highest
only one Pauline Witt earned the
same standing first semester.

cast originating on the campus of
ACC over station KRBC Wednesday
night at 0:45.

Chapel Program
On Great Names
Great Names In Latin-American
History a radio play from the Pan-
American Union will be presented
by talent from the Spanish club and
the music and speech arts depart-
ments tomorrow in chapel as the
last in a scries of programs dedicated
to Pan-Americanism.
Charles Chumlcy KRBC program
director and student will announce
and carry a lead in the play.
A special band program of Span-
ish American music as directed by
D.W. Crain was the chapel presen-
tation of the week's theme this
morning. Alice Alcnc Morlan sang
the closing number La Paloma.
First in the series was a talk
Tuesday on the meaning of Pan-
American Day and Pan-Americanism
by Prof. W.E. Brown. The play
Christ of the Andes by Eleanor H.
Brainard was presented Thuhsday
by Los Alcgres campus Spanish
organization It was directed by Prof.
J.W. Treat. Art .work for the play
was done by Miss Juanlta Tittle
head of the art department.

Youngest Ex-Student of
ACC to Conduct Effort
Emphasizing the theme'The Panacea
for all the World's Ills: 'Jesus Christ
and Him Crucified'" Elbridge B.
Linn minister for the Central church
of Christ in Cleburne and ACC grad-
uate will hold the annual spring
meeting of the College church of
Christ to begin Sunday and contin-
ue through April 10 with services
each morning at 11 o'clock and each
evening at 8.
According to W.R.Smith classes
will meet on 45 minute schedule
from 8 to 11 o'clock in order that the
students may attend the morning
services.
Subjects for the sermons will be
decided on later however Linn an-
nounces that these will probably be
used: SundaV April 12 a.m.-"Christ
and True Worship"p.m.-"Considor-ing
Jesus Christ;" Sunday April 10
a.m.-"In Memory of Christ'p.m.-
"The Second Coming of Christ."
Other topics to be discussed during
the week are: "Christ's Way of Life"
"The Christ of the Cross" "Crucified
with Christ" "Buried with Christ"
"Raised with Christ" "Christ the
Power for Victorious Llving""Christ
the Door" "Christ and Trouble"
"Christ and the Church."
Banquet Date Fixed
Says Morris Patteson
Date Of the junior-senior banquet
has been officially set for May 10
Morris Patteson president of the
junior class announced this week.
Place and program for the affair
has not been discussed yet said Pat-
teson. At the banquet an annual
activity at Abilene Christian juniors
fete seniors.
