requests nominations for
FELLOWS OF THE
ASSOCIATION
The constitution of the Association pro-
vides that "members who show, by pub-
lished work, special aptitude for historical
investigation may become Fellows. .... In
any given year the number of Fellows
elected, if any, shall be within the sole dis-
cretion of the Executive Council; however,
at no time shall there be more than three
persons elected as Fellows of the
Association each year. The Fellows
Committee is charged with the task of
seeking qualified candidates but also
invites nominations from Association
members. The committee is not obligated
to appoint any new Fellows if the nomi-
nees do not meet the requirements.
New Fellows will be announced and pre-
sented a certificate at the Association's
Annual Meeting. Fellows elected by the
current committee will be honored at the
Annual Meeting in March 2004.
Nominations for Fellows to be honored in
2004 should be sent to each committee
member by December 31, 2003. For
addresses of the committee members
