FELLOWS OF THE
ASSOCIATION
The constitution of the Association pro-
vides that "members who show, by pub-
lished work, special aptitude for historical
investigation may become Fellows. ...
The number of Fellows shall never exceed
seventy-five." Three new Fellows may be
elected each year until the total number
of Fellows reaches seventy-five. New
Fellows may also be elected to replace
deceased Fellows. The Fellows Committee
is charged with the task of seeking quali-
fied candidates but also invites nomina-
tions from Association members. The
committee is not obligated to appoint any
new Fellows if the nominees do not meet
the requirements.
New Fellows will be announced and pre-
sented a certificate at the Fellows'
Luncheon held at the Association's
Annual Meeting. Fellows elected by the
current committee will be honored at the
Annual Meeting in March 2002.
Nominations for Fellows to be honored in
2002 should be sent to each committee
member by December 31, 2oo0. For
