FELLOWS OF THE
ASSOCIATION
The constitution of the Association provides
that "members who show, by published work,
special aptitude for historical investigation may
become Fellows. ... The number of Fellows
shall never exceed seventy-five." Three new
Fellows may be elected each year until the total
number of Fellows reaches seventy-five. New
Fellows may also be elected to replace deceased
Fellows. The Fellows Committee is charged with
the task of seeking qualified candidates but also
invites nominations from Association members.
The committee is not obligated to appoint any
new Fellows if the nominees do not meet the
requirements.
New Fellows will be announced and presented a
certificate at the Fellows' Luncheon held at the
Association's Annual Meeting. Fellows elected
by the current committee will be honored at
the Annual Meeting in March 2000.
Nominations for Fellows to be honored in 2000
should be sent to each committee member by
December 31, 1999. For addresses of the com-
