RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
IN TEXAS HISTORY
The Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred
Research Fellowship is awarded annually for
the best research proposal by a doctoral candi-
date concerning Texas history during the years
1820 through 1836.
Applications must be submitted by Dec. 31,
1999. The application, which should be no
longer than one page, should specify the pur-
pose of the research, the need for the money,
and a description of the end product (article,
book, or exhibition). Please include a com-
plete vita with the application. The award will
be announced at the Association's annual meet-
ing in March 2000. Judges may withold the
award at their discretion.
