The Texas State Historical Association will hold its semi-annual
meeting in Fredericksburg this fall. The date of this meeting and ad-
ditional details will be announced later.
The Association's regular annual meeting will be held in Waco,
Texas, February 28-March 2, 1974. Be sure to plan ahead so that you
will not miss either of these meetings. The historic locations should add
a special spice to the interesting subjects which will be discussed.
The American Association for State and Local History will be hold-
ing its 1973 meeting on September 18-21, in Edmonton, Alberta, Cana-
da. Here is a chance for some of us Southwestern historians to see the
north country in its finest autumn dress. Incidentally, the train trip
from Edmonton to Vancouver, B.C., runs through some of the most
beautiful scenery on the continent.
The Western History Association is meeting in Fort Worth, Texas,
October 11-14, 1973.
The Oral History Association will meet November 1-4, 1973, at West
Point, New York.
