mission in San Antonio," a former editorial assistant of the
Quarterly, is a member of the history faculty of Purdue
University.
GEORGE A. SCHNEIDER, "A Border Incident of 1878 From the
Journal of Captain John S. McNaught," is curator of the Patton
Museum of Cavalry and Armor at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and is a
life member of the Association.
JAMES HOWELL SMITH, "Texas, 1893," is a native Texan on
the staff at Wake Forest College. He attended Baylor University,
Tulane University, and the University of Wisconsin, where he
is completing his Ph.D.351
