teenth century.
This compilation will stand with The Life and Times of Tim-
othy Dwight Hobart 1855-1935 (Canyon, 1950), and the Pan-
handle-Plains Historical Review, which Sheffy edited from 1930
to 1948, as a primary record of the work done by a pioneer his-
