Note on the map indicates that the map appeared with an article in The Scientific
American, March 3, 1894, page 136. Map shows Galveston and adjoining islands;
bays; lakes; Galveston County Wagon Bridge; the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe
Railway; and the Galveston, Houston, and Henderson Railway (both of which
railways cross the bridge). Photostat. Size: 73/4 inches x 81/ inches.

creeks, hills, elevations, gaps, intermittent streams, with names of adjoining pub-
lished sheets in margins, for parts of Coryell, Bell, Lampasas and Burnet counties.
On the reverse side of the map is "Description of the Topographic Map of the
United States" and a legend of "Conventional Signs." Scale: 1/125,0oo or 3 inches-
6 miles. Size: 171/ inches x 15 inches.
