of Congress in the year 1870o by S. Augustus Mitchell, in the Clerks Office of the
District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In printed colors the map
shows states, towns, rivers, and mountains of above and southern United States
including Texas. Insets: (1) Island of Cuba (2) Island of Jamaica (3) Bermuda
Islands (4) Panama Railroad. Scale: 1 inch-oo miles. Size: 131/ inches x 211/4
inches.

and Company in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Southern District of
New York. In printed colors the map shows counties, towns, roads, railroads, rivers,
mountains. Insets: (1) Plan of Galveston Bay (2) Plan of Sabine Lake (3) Plan
of Matagorda Bay (4) Plan of the Great West (5) Plan of the Northern Part or
Panhandle of Texas. One copy and one photostat. Scale: 21/4 inches-8o miles. Size:

proposed railroads, Overland Mail Route, roads, rivers, mountains, lakes, Indian
agencies, location of Indian tribes, some mines, some trading posts, canals, state
capitals. Pictures: On the map are pictures of a sailing ship, a paddle wheel
steam ship, a coal burning railroad engine. In the frame of the map the "Last
Census of the United States by Counties" is given. Insets: (1) Distance on Western
Rivers and Lakes [Table] (a) Distances from New York (3) Railroads in the United
States (4) Panoramic View of the Country between San Francisco and St. Louis
(5) Central America. Bound map. Scale: 1 inch-6o miles. Size: 361/ inches x 46s/
inches.
