1. Can any member of the Association direct me to a picture of
any officer or vessel in the Texas navy, 1835-1845, or to important
unpublished material respecting the same?
2. Has any explanation ever been given of the final disposition
of the original written Declaration of Texas Independence carried
from the convention room by Homer S. Kimble, other than that
found in Scarff's Comprehensive History ? Did Kimble ever return
to Texas, or was any effort ever made to recover the document from
him? (Dr.) ALEX DIENST.
