attention from bidders included an

of tiny treasures such as miniature
photograph albums and newspapers,
examples of the work of "Bly" the
Rice Writer whose specialty was writing
the Lord's Prayer on one side of a
single grain of rice, a scrap of Egyptian
papyrus with hierglyphics, and of course
numerous miniature books, sold for

As the second millennium comes to
a close, a landmark reference book
has appeared which catalogues the
miniature books that have been published
in the United States during the twentieth
century.
This monumental task was accomplished
by Robert C. Bradbury of Worcester,
MA, a lifelong collector, exhibitor,
writer and sometime publisher himself
of miniature books.
The book is entitled Twentieth Century
United States Miniature Books, and
it was published by The Microbibliophile
of No. Clarendon, Vermont, with a
date of 2000!

Robert C. Bradbury is an avid
miniature book collector. His
writings about miniature books have
appeared in such periodicals as The
Microbibliophile, Newsletter of the
Miniature Book Society, and
