C&SL will expand with the
July/August issueChurch and Synagogue LI-
BRARIES, the bi-monthly publica-
tion of CSLA, will increase its mini-
mum number of pages from 20 to
24, beginning with the July/August
issue.
"Expanding the C&SL bi-
monthly to 24 pages will give all
members the opportunity to get a
broader view of the programs of
chapters and, hopefully, encourage
other non-chapter members to
write about their activities," said
Barbara Mall, CSLA president.
"Chapter and member news may
be submitted to the editor as articles
or letters. These are just some of
the many possibilities for use of the
expanded space."

approved by the CSLA executive
board at their mid-winter meeting

deadline extended
There is money this year to
fund three Muriel Fuller Memorial
Scholarships for the University of
Utah's correspondance course for
volunteer librarians who are mem-
bers of CSLA. And this is your
lucky day: the deadline for apply-
ing has been extended to June 15th.
Call the CSLA office (1-800-
LIB-CSLA) to receive your appli-
cation.

Recruiting and Training Volunteers
for Church and Synagogue Libraries.
It is now 24 pages packed with in-
formation on recruiting, orienting,
motivating and supporting new
congregational library volunteers.
The bibliography contains books
on all aspects of volunteering. The
price is $9, members of CSLA
$7.25.
Guide No. 16, The Bible in
Church and Synagogue Libraries by
William H. Gentz is out of print,
however a few copies are still avail-
able.
